This past week the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced their nominations for the 78th Golden Globes Awards. Overall there wasn’t a ton of horror representation, but there was a familiar friend: the Guatemalan fan-favorite La Llorona!
The film tells the story of an aging dictator. Trapped in his mansion, he’s forced to confront the terrible choices he made in life. We featured La Llorona in a bonus commentary podcast episode in an attempt to not just talk about horror films made in the 80s, and we were blown away by its haunting visuals.
